About the Author

Originally from the American Midwest, for over forty years Tom Crowley roamed through Asia working and living in every country from Korea and Japan, to China, the ASEAN countries and then finally Thailand. His on the ground experiences and knowledge of the countries and characters show through as he develops his action adventure series. Tom’s voyage through Asia started as a rifle platoon leader in Vietnam, then went on to diplomatic experience in Korea and then corporate work, intelligence work and then finally fourteen years working with street kids in the Mercy Centre a charity in the Bangkok Slums.

Tom's nonfiction books, Shrapnel Wounds and Mercy's Heroes reflect his experiences in the military and then with the Mercy  Centre.

Reviews of the previous  adventure books in the Matt Chance series include mentions such as “A politically jolting novel of intrigue and a startling fabric of fiction” for Viper’s Tail from the Nation, Bangkok. His recently released novel, Opium Dreams, continues the adventure story line providing new characters, new settings and an adventure in battling the most powerful of foes.
